Spencer Anderson, DVM

Dr. Spencer Anderson is a Montana native and a graduate of Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After earning his degree, he served three years in the U.S. Army caring for military working dogs, including a deployment to Iraq. He returned to Bozeman in 2007 and opened Baxter Creek Veterinary Clinic in November 2010. Being part of the Bozeman community is one of the things he loves most about his work.

Caitlin Shilan, DVM

Dr. Caitlin Shilan grew up in Madison, Virginia, and earned her degree in Equine Science and Management from the University of Kentucky before graduating from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. Her path to veterinary medicine was solidified after a traumatic injury to her childhood horse, Snoopy, inspired her to pursue a career caring for animals.

Dr. Shilan joined Baxter Creek Veterinary Clinic in 2026 and has professional interests in sports medicine, rehabilitation, cardiology, and nutrition. She especially enjoys building relationships with clients, helping them understand the “why” behind their pet’s care, and working together to keep their pets happy and healthy. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, hiking, reading, and cooking and spends time with her husband, Andrew, and their lively collection of dogs, cats, horses, a donkey, and a ball python.
